RED was my second collection of prepared guitar improvisations. Included are a few pieces dealing with distortion and noise, but more of a guitar noise and not a Merzbow noise.

Pink Cradius (no i have no idea what that means) is the first piece.

Piece two, and the longest piece on the release. Quite long and slow moving.

It's actually Opus #2 but the FTP kinda screwed it up.

Now if you like, you can either just click on the link and listen straight from your desktop. Or just right click and download it to listen to later.

And now I'm on to remaster the THIRD in my trilogy of prepared guitar improvisations from 96-98.

Guitar Sonatas Volume 1

This is "Guitar Sonatas Volume 1" CD that was released in 1998.

This is the piece that won me the experimental guitar category in Guitar Player Magazines 30th Anniversary Competition Compilation. I’ll have scans of the cd in the future.

The 2nd piece is actually my first foray into the world of extended techniques for electric guitar.

This piece is another one of those happy mistakes that occured to me while practicing one day. I had a bad cable that was producing an interesting sound that I could work with. So I did, and here it is.

These are all the tracks from my first recording. All originally recorded to standard cassette tape and eventually remastered with mastering reverb added by myself with the help of Ableton Live and plenty of plug ins and eq.

Please enjoy and feel free to share them.
